Read the symptoms the body is showing us. Disease isn’t what most people think…it isn’t something that happens to your pet. It isn’t mostly genetic even if the genetic predisposition is there. When your pet has symptoms of a fever, skin problems like chronic itching, or kidney failure or arthritic with bony outgrowths for example this is just the body trying to compensate and to heal.
The attempts to heal are ALWAYS there…snotty nose means the body’s immune system has initiated a response and white blood cells are going in to kill the invading pathogens (mucous in the nose is mostly dead tissue, bacteria and white blood cells).
A fever is a miraculous and simple way to kill bacteria and viruses by ‘heating’ up the body past what a bacteria and virus can survive…it shouldn’t be interfered with unless prolonged and very high. Bodily attempts at bringing the body back into balance need to be supported this is why Homeopathy works so well.. It never takes away a symptom but helps the body finish the job at killing bad bacteria for example and healing…
Inflammation is another one…acute inflammation is the body’s way of bringing attention to the damaged body part, tissue or organ and to continue healing. We don’t want to take away inflammation in our animals with drugs…because it doesn’t support the body to finish healing…it just stops the inflammation…I always say our poor pets heal DESPITE drugs used not because of them…in most cases. Acute emergency situations they can be of great value but NOT for chronic diseases.
Skin issues are just another way your pet is saying their kidney and liver are over-taxed! The skin is THE biggest eliminatory organ. Whatever shows up on the skin is being thrown out from within. If we suppress this with medications in any way…we are not only pushing it back in to affect important organs but we are further taxing the kidney and liver that are having trouble filtering drugs, chemicals, heavy metals and other toxins in the first place.
Even arthritis with bony calcification – there is a purpose for them. The joints can be inflamed from old injuries and the bony outgrowths are used for support so further damage doesn’t occur…it is for stabilizing. Or this can occur from toxic build up that accumulated in the joints. Aluminum has a tendency to get stored in the joints and will throw out calcium from its binding sites…this can cause a build up. It creates inflammation and can cause a problem IF the actual cause is never addressed.
Most kidney failure I see is from the poor kidneys having to deal with filtering all the toxins out all the time and they stop keeping up! If you could visibly see all that has to go through them you would be surprised why our animals’ aren’t dropping faster not why they have it in the first place. Our cats are dying of kidney failure at a younger and younger age. Yes kibble is bad because it is dry food but more so because it is full of toxins and so are the vaccines we are injecting them with!!!
I have found that 90% of the time animals are sick because they are sub-clinically malnourished (yes even the best fed ones on expensive kibble or improperly balanced home made meals) and are just full full full of chemicals, pesticides, heavy metals and other toxins. You see it isn’t the ONE single chemical or one missing nutrient it is the COMBINATION of it all. ALL the toxins that make up your cat’s, dog’s or horse’s environment…their ability to digest their food (thanks to GMO’s most have leaky gut and are unable to digest properly), poor quality food devoid of critical nutrients and of course the cocktail of chemicals that make up our air, water and the food they consume.
From now on when your pet has an illness try to look at why it is sick…don’t accept that it just happened – the dog got a thyroid problems, the horse got colic the cat had failed kidneys…we have to ask WHY???
Asking why gets us closer to stopping what made them sick in the first place. Clean up the diet first and foremost. Get help – don’t try to do it yourself if your pet has a chronic disease or you will make mistakes as it isn’t easy to do.
Get a Homeopathic doctor to find your pet’s Constitutional remedy (a homeopathic medicine that matches the totality of your pet’s symptoms – this will be an integral part to boosting your pet’s immune function pretty much throughout its life) and to help peel away the layers of chronic disease that has built up over time.
I know it is easy to blame a disease and genetics. And say that the pet was just weakly and sick but that wouldn’t be the truth. Truth is genes can be turned off with appropriate holistic treatment, proper nourishing specie appropriate food, minimization of stress and aiding the body in detoxification. Pets just don’t get sick and die…they weaken from poor food first…they slowly get poisoned with everyday invisible chemicals they breath, eat and drink and absorb through the skin! THIS is what we absolutely MUST focus on if we want to succeed in healing our animals. This is what holistic medicine particularly Homeopathy is all about.
