Fat cat or dog? Are you already feeding crumbs and still no weight loss AND the pet is miserable because it is starving? Or the severe diet keeps them trim but they are not happy or healthy still…
Well I’ll share something very important with you…diets DON’T WORK FOR PEOPLE OR ANIMALS…if your pet is overweight you have to find out why not just cut back on calories/food and/or switching to a ‘fatty kibble’ diet…
Here’s a list of the main reasons why your cat or dog is pudgy no matter what food they are on or how much…
- Most spayed or neutered animals WILL gain weight from hormone imbalances. Dogs and cats are essentially castrated – like a woman that gets a full hysterectomy…the hormones are DRASTICALLY cut and changed. You can help with Homeopathic medicines and herbs as well as diet to balance them out a bit to help with this massive change in their bodies.
- If but ONE NUTRIENTS IS DEFICIENT OR IMBALANCED in their diet it can cause your pet to INCREASE APPETITE/EATING TO SATISFY THE FILL FOR THIS PARTICULAR VITAMIN OR MINERAL etc. Their bodies will keep telling them to keep gorging because they have not received the amounts required to keep their bodies running! This means at this point they can NOT prevent diseases either this is another reason why obese animals are sick animals.
- Toxin overload can make your pet fat for many reasons. Some of which are that toxins are stored in fat and fat metabolism is altered whenever heavy metals are present. In fact, heavy metals such Aluminum and Mercury can deposit in the thyroid gland thus altering it’s function.
- Lack of or insufficient amount of exercise. I’m still shocked at how little dogs and cats get in terms of movement. Dogs in particular and this means EVERY breed (from small tiny dogs to huge dogs that prefer the couch) they all need exercise. Your dog should get at least 1 HOUR of a good walk each day and 2 smaller ones (15-20 minutes) this is MINIMUM. I see people take their dogs out 1-2 x a day for a ten minute jaunt around the block and are surprised why Spot is so chunky…and like people once over-weight they will not want to move much so they have to be slowly built up to increased exercise.
- Pesticides – which are EVERYWHERE and in nearly ALL food, treats and supplements…end up in your pets. Chemical pesticides act like fake estrogen hormones and can really cause not just obesity but also cancer.
OBESITY IN YOUR PET MEANS SO MUCH MORE THAN THEY ARE GETTING TOO MUCH FOOD! IT MEANS THEY ARE SICK, MALNOURISHED AND TOXIC.
You can help your pet by getting their hair analyzed for nutritional imbalances and toxicities. This way you not only get to the root of the problem but you also don’t have to starve your pet to do it…makes for a happier and healthier pet.
