Copper Deficient

Did you know that more than 79% of people and animals are copper deficient? Copper can show up as all kinds of symptoms when deficient. I won’t list them all here but here’s a few interesting ones…

  1. Propensity to worms/parasites
  2. Cartilage/joint problems.
  3. Coat looks coppery/dry/brassy/brittle
  4. Fungal infections/rain rot/ringworm

Copper DeficientMany animals are indeed deficient but we must be VERY careful in supplementing things like Copper as too much can be toxic. And not supplementing properly in the correct ratio can also throw off other minerals such as Zinc. It is important to remember if we we are supplementing any vitamin or mineral not to do it for too long unless under supervision to make sure you don’t cause a toxicity by over supplementing as well…deficiency symptoms and toxicity ones LOOK THE SAME!
